Ageing

The population age pyramid has turned upside down. In 1900 more than two thirds of the population was younger than 30 years of age. The prognosis for the coming years shows the majority of the population to be above the age of 60.   In 2050 the majority will be older than 60.

The social revolution during the 20th century produced a higher percentage of older people and brought a number of problems for these people. Just one: the enormous increase in advanced age Western Civilisation (falls).
